  • Porters are provided at least two meals per day and access to water.
  • Sick or injured porters are properly cared for.

Joining a cheap tour operator for climbing Mount Kilimanjaro has the major disadvantage of ill-treatment of the Kilimanjaro Crew members. So yes, the cheap tour operators do not pay proper salary to theKilimanjaro Portersand even do not provide them with proper gear, camping equipment orKilimanjaro Food.

Yes, it is mandatory to get a certified Kilimanjaro Guide with you for Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro as per the KilimanjaroSafety norms set by the Kilimanjaro Park authority to make your trekking easy and safe. You will not be able to trek the mountain without being accompanied by a certified guide.
