Endless Wonders

Our Serengeti Safaris are made for explorers like you

Serengeti National Park is one of the most famous places on Earth for wildlife. Known as "Siringet" by the Maasai, meaning "endless plains," it truly lives up to its name.

This UNESCO World Heritage site is home to the Great Wildebeest Migration, where millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles cross the vast plains in search of water and fresh grass. It's one of nature’s greatest shows and something that can only be fully experienced here.

At Jerry Tanzania Tours, we specialize in showing you the magic of Serengeti. We take you right into the heart of the action, whether you want to see a lion hunt, hyenas prowling, or elephants roaming the savannas. Our safaris are built around your needs, making sure you don’t miss the special moments, whether it’s the famous river crossings or the stunning sunrises over the plains.

Frequently Asked Questions

Before You Travel, Let’s Answer the FAQs!

The Serengeti is world-famous for the Great Migration, the largest mammal migration on land. Over 1.5 million wildebeest, 300,000 gazelles, and 200,000 zebras move across the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem, followed by big predators like lions and cheetahs. It’s a dramatic, natural event showcasing the raw beauty of wildlife.

You can reach the Serengeti by road or air. Most Tanzania Safari Trips to Serengeti start from Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport, with vehicles or light aircraft taking travellers to the park. Flights land at various airstrips within the Serengeti, making it an easy option for those looking for a faster journey.

The Serengeti’s gates open at 6:00 AM and close at 6:00 PM. It’s recommended to arrive before 3:00 PM to ensure you reach your camp or lodge safely before dark. Always plan to avoid delays at the gates.

For adults, Serengeti National Park fees are $70.80 per day. During high season, the fee is $82.60 per adult. Children between 5 and 15 pay $23.60 regardless of the season, and kids under 5 enter for free. Most entry gates accept credit cards for convenience.

Flights from Arusha Airport to Serengeti airstrips take between 1 hour 10 minutes and 2 hours 40 minutes, depending on the airstrip. If starting from Kilimanjaro International Airport, add about 30 minutes. These flights might include stops at different airstrips to drop off passengers.

The Serengeti is home to a vast array of wildlife, including the Big Five: elephants, buffalo, rhinos, lions, and leopards. While specific sightings aren’t guaranteed, the Serengeti is known for its abundant wildlife, including big cats and thousands of animals that roam during the Great Migration.
