Turkish Airlines

If you’re on a tight budget it’s a good option to score a cheap flight. Recently, Turkish Airlines have also started direct flights to Kilimanjaro. They fly via Istanbul, which is great if you’re living in Europe or the Middle East. However, the timings are a bit anti-social. The flight arrival is at Kilimanjaro at 02:00 am and departure at 03:00 am! But the prices are cheaper than other airlines though. However, with this redeye flight, you need to take into account the cost of an extra hotel night. Otherwise, you’ll be Climbing Kilimanjaro jet-lagged and sleep-deprived (not recommended!!).

Qatar

Qatar has introduced direct flights to Kilimanjaro International Airport via Doha. This works pretty well for Brits living near London or Manchester. This is convenient for trekkers coming from the Middle East, India, and Eastern Europe too.

Kenyan Airways And Ethiopian Airways

Both Kenyan Airways and Ethiopian Airways operate routes from major United Kingdom, United States, Europe, and some Southern Hemisphere airports. They fly via Nairobi (in Kenya) and Addis Ababa (in Ethiopia) respectively. From there you can easily book a connecting flight to Kilimanjaro Airport through Kenyan Airways, Precision Air, and Ethiopian Airways.

From Southern Africa

Julius Nyerere International Airport is just 12 kilometers from the Dar es Salaam city center. This is the main hub for most domestic and international travelers. Domestic flights within Tanzania are operated by regional airlines, including:

If you’re coming from Dar es Salaam there are two options. Either take a flight to JRO for $320/person roundtrip; or take a 7-8hrs bus ride costing $20/person to Arusha or Moshi.
