The unexpected magical journey of visiting Tanzania started with an idea to have a break from the hectic schedule we both were going through. I still can’t believe what we experienced, learned, and captured (a few in-camera and few in memory) from this trip was just started after an evening coffee. We both were disgusted with the daily routine and the hustling-bustling city life so we planned off a holiday trip and after discussing a few choices we choose Tanzania. I mean who will miss the chance to discover a country that offers almost everything best; great peaks to hike, a safari in a few world-famous national parks, finest beaches, and stunning natural views. So we choose to for both trekking and safari in Tanzania.
The next challenge was to find a safari operator who could arrange everything for us as well as who could advise the best about the travel packages as well as about the country. Honestly, I feel blessed that I met Jerry’s people. Jerry Tanzania just made our Kilimanjaro trekking and Tanzania Safari the best vacation of our life to date. I wanted this holiday one of the finest as I was traveling with my girlfriend. The people at Jerry Tanzania truly help us with every step (they even helped with bag packing by giving their tips what to pack for safari and trekking).
Meeting Erasmus Shirima ; the best guide ever:
After reaching Kilimanjaro Airport we met a very charming and warm person who was waiting for us. With a wide smile, Mr. Erasmus Shirima greeted us who was our guide throughout the journey. Honestly, I can’t say he was just a tour guide rather he was kind of friend and assisted us with almost everything we wanted to know about the country. He was flexible with time, with our request he used to change the schedules and sometimes he got up early and waved us goodbye late at night. He had amazing knowledge about everything that the country has and interestingly used to tell us stories about all the paths we used to cross. We are amazed at the details he used to give us about even the tiny animals, birds, and few plants too. We used to feel free to ask him about almost everything, the culture, and people of Tanzania, how they live, local music, dance, and a lot of stuff as the country was amazing and bumped with many questions in our mind just like its roads. We truly believe Shirima just made our Tanzania safari more interesting and enjoyable.
The Adventurous Trekking; Kilimanjaro
Well, we both being fitness freak was sure about Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro would be successful and the tips of Jerry Tanzania people truly made it a successful one. We chose 7 –Days –Lemosho Route itinerary to trek. With a good team of 4 porters, 1 guide (our trekking guide was not Shirima) and cook we started our climbing. The route was stunning, spectacular, and magical; to be honest any word can’t describe its beauty. We used to hike 5 to 6 hours approximately every day and used to stay in camps. In these 7 days, we stopped in Mti Mkubwa Camp, Shira Camp 2, Barranco Camp, Karanga Camp, Barafu Camp, and Mweka Camp. Our cook used to have prepared 3-course meals every day; breakfast, lunch, and dinners, as well as we, were served with some healthy nitrous snacks between our lunch and dinner. The trek was challenging, however, the most staggering journey of our lives.
Stunning Safari Trip; 6 Days in heaven
After our trekking, we headed towards the safari trip. Our Tanzania Safari trip started right after 1 resting day. We were tired and exhausted and were confused about if we could continue our 6 days safari trip but the moment we stepped in the Tarangire National Park we knew we are going to make it. The 6 days of our Tanzania Safari took us to Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, and Ngorongoro Conservation Area (3 best national parks of the country). These 6 days inside the 3 parks were a journey to heaven; stunning views, endless rolling savannahs, lush forest, stunning game drive, and introduction with culture were just awe-inspiring.
Find the Various options for camping & Lodging during safari
I would say our luxury Tanzania safari trip was an extravagance journey, especially our accommodations were stunning. In Serengeti (the only place that allows for camping inside the national park) we truly enjoyed our camps, they were comfiest, beautiful and well protected from the big danger of the country; mosquitoes. Other national parks had very big, comfortable and luxurious semi-permanent camps that were full of great amenities like; king-size beds, beautiful interiors, dining spaces as well open set-ups to dine out in nature, camp-fire areas, and luxurious shower areas. The food prepared by the camp chefs used to be amazing, everyday something new and delicious we used to found in our table.
Taste the thrill of African Adventure in various national parks
Our journey of Tanzania Safari started from Tarangire National Park; we woke up early and after our breakfast around 8 am we headed towards Tarangire with Shirima. It took around 2 hours to reach in Tarangire; truly defining its name of “elephant’s playground” has large herds of elephants that are spottable just after entering the park’s gate. Stunning landscape, abundant of wildlife including various mammals, and the Tarangire River makes the park spectacular. The baobab trees amazed us when we learned that each of the trees was 1000 years old. After spending 2 days exploring Tarangire we headed towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area; the most visited spots of the country. The multi-cultural town of Mto wa Mbu, spectacular views of the Maasai Plains, and the beautiful caldera of Ngorongoro captured our sense. Ngorongoro is famous for spotting Rhino, however, we couldn’t spot one as they are spotted rarely. Our final destination was Serengeti National Park; probably the best part of our vacation was Serengeti. The national park was just awesome; views of dusty sunset, the largest concentration of lions, and the stunning Big Five; made our Tanzania Safari trip a worthy one.
The highlight of our trip was the best features we enjoyed becoming the customer of Jerry Tanzania. The country is undoubtedly beautiful, but Jerry Tanzania truly made our Tanzania Safari smooth and much more enjoyable than we expected. The best thing about Jerry Tanzania;
The friendliest staff
- Awesome guide (full with knowledge about every step of the country)
- Beautiful shower areas
- The luxurious accommodation
