The Lemosho Route is our preferred Kilimanjaro climbing route and that makes writing this blog post a complete joy. Why wouldn’t the Lemosho be our favorite route? It is most definitely the most scenic and diverse one, it has one of the newer and thus fresher trails and it is perfect for acclimatization.
Acclimatization is the word you see over and over again when researching the routes during Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. When you have found this, there’s no need to worry too much about acclimatization anymore. Because of the better acclimatization profile of Lemosho Route, 70% of new and experienced trekkers get success by reaching easily to the summit.

SCENIC VIEW AT LEMOSHO
Kilimanjaro Lemosho Route offers most scenic views and one of the newest routes to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro. Starts from Londrossi Gate, the starting path on this route is full of wilderness.
From the Cultivation zone to the Hearth-Moorland zone, you can spot larger antelopes, buffaloes, and even elephants. If you are lucky enough, you can see other wild animals like leopards, lions, cheetahs and bushbabies especially in the tropical rain forest zone.

LOW TRAFFIC AT KILIMANJARO LEMOSHO ROUTE
Though it is the Best Route To Climb Kilimanjaro, there is very low traffic you will face when Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
The reason for the low traffic is that it takes 7 to 8 days to reach the summit. As the longest route, trekking via this route makes it expensive for the trekkers.
NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED WHILE CLIMBING VIA LEMOSHO
As a longer route, the Lemosho Route offers a medium level of difficulty. Due to a good profile for acclimatization, there is no need for experience and any specific technical training.
The routes are not steeper and known as Easiest Kilimanjaro Route. Among all Kilimanjaro Routes, this route is the longer route. For the summit, you only have to walk.
LOW ALTITUDE RISK AT LEMOSHO ROUTE
This offers outstanding “Climb high and sleep low” for better acclimatization. Due to the longer route, the hikers can get plenty of time for acclimatization. As this route offers plenty of time to recover, there is a zero risk of altitude sickness.
In this route, you have to cover 67 kilometers and there is no hard climb in this route.
