Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro is a dream of many. But it requires a lot of preparation. And obtaining a visa is the most important out of all the other preparation work. All climbers who are not East African residents are required to obtain a Kilimanjaro Visa. However, there are a few exceptions to this rule. Some countries have reciprocal visa-free relationships with Tanzania.
You first need to have a Tanzania Visa to enter the country for Kilimanjaro Climb. You can obtain a Kilimanjaro Visa by applying at the Tanzania Embassy in your country. However, if you don’t have a Tanzania embassy, you can apply for an E-visa.
The govt. of Tanzania introduced e-Visa in 2018 to make it easier for the tourists to acquire a visa. Once you apply for an E-Visa, you will need to fill-up the form, provide required documents and do the payment in an official hour. Once you are done it will take 4 days to process your Visa. Once your visa got processed you can receive it on your arrival at the airport of Tanzania after you land.
