After all, Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa\u2019s tallest mountain and\nthinking of summiting it can scare even the bravest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Preparing\nfor your Kilimanjaro climb is all about deciding what to need to do and buy and\ntake with you. You need to have the perfect clothes to help with the extreme\nKilimanjaro weather. This route avoids crowds. Over 9 days, we had a fantastic journey and a great chance of <a href=\"https:\/\/jerrytanzaniatours.com\/kilimanjaro-summit\"><strong>Kilimanjaro Summit<\/strong><\/a> successfully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nNorthern Circuit is longer than the other <a href=\"https:\/\/jerrytanzaniatours.com\/kilimanjaro-trails\"><strong>Kilimanjaro Trails<\/strong><\/a>, taking a minimum of eight days to complete. Many\ntour operators even offer a nine-day trek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nadditional time on the mountain means that&nbsp;<strong>Success Rates&nbsp;For Northern Circuit<\/strong> trekkers are relatively\nhigh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nnorthern circuit offers stunning scenery including the quiet, rarely visited\nnorthern&nbsp;slope. Each day, we saw\nthe landscape change dramatically. It changed as we ascended from the dusty\nsavannah through lush rain forest to the alpine desert. We saw continuous\nchanges in view until we finally reached the glacier at the mountain\u2019s peak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our\nteam of competent Jerry Tanzania guides ensured that we made it to the summit\nsafely. A legion of porters carried our gear and camping equipment. As we began\neach day\u2019s trek, our porters zipped ahead of us to set up the evening\u2019s\ncampsite. That\u2019s where they greeted us with songs, high fives, and best of all,\npopcorn and hot chocolate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\nwas fascinating to see how much the landscape changed around us, not to mention\nthe temperature&nbsp;as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The\nKilimanjaro Summit At Night<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"605\" src=\"https:\/\/jerrytanzaniatours.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/jerry-final-1-2-1024x605.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12985\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jerrytanzaniatours.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/jerry-final-1-2-1024x605.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/jerrytanzaniatours.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/jerry-final-1-2-300x177.jpg 300w, https:\/\/jerrytanzaniatours.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/jerry-final-1-2-768x453.jpg 768w, https:\/\/jerrytanzaniatours.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/jerry-final-1-2.jpg 1050w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On\nsummit night, our guides came to wake us up in the late evening. We put on all our\nlayers of clothing and checked our gear one last time. It was to make sure we\nwon\u2019t get cold later on.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To be successful in reaching&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/jerrytanzaniatours.com\/uhuru-peak\">Uhuru Peak<\/a><\/strong>, we ate plenty and got rest before your&nbsp;Kilimanjaro Climb&nbsp;assent. We made sure to have our summit night kit ready with warm clothing, head torches, socks, hand warmers, and scarves.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Summit\nnight wasn\u2019t really easy for us. They took care of all our needs,\nencouraging us to keep on moving even in the harshest conditions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our\nteam of guides ensured that we made it to the summit safely. And our lovely <a href=\"https:\/\/jerrytanzaniatours.com\/kilimanjaro-porters\"><strong>Kilimanjaro Porters<\/strong><\/a> carried our gear and camping equipment for us.\nWe couldn\u2019t really have done it without Jeremiah and his team of guides and\nporters. They somehow made it easier for us to reach the summit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>We Finally Reached The Peak! <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The feeling of finally reaching the Uhuru Peak was out of this world.
